A prestigious global law firm with a strong presence in the tax advisory domain is seeking a talented Tax Associate to join their dynamic team. The firm is renowned for its deep understanding of tax and commercial issues, providing innovative and workable solutions to clients worldwide. They handle a wide range of tax matters, offering transactional tax advice and leading in tax investigations and disputes.
The Tax Associate's Role
The successful Tax Associate will join a high-performing team known for their expertise in areas such as tax disputes, corporate M&A, real estate, energy, insurance, investment funds, TMT, and corporate restructuring. The Tax Associate will have the opportunity to work on both contentious and non-contentious matters, advising on complex transactions and representing clients in critical disputes and investigations. This role demands excellence in client service, the ability to handle significant legal work independently, and the drive to build strong client relationships.
The Tax Associate
- 2-5 years' PQE (Post-Qualified Experience); however, candidates with more or less experience will be considered.
- Strong technical expertise in tax law, capable of handling a variety of contentious and non-contentious matters.
- Experience in private capital and/or real estate is desirable but not essential.
- Demonstrated ability to work on complex and high-value transactions and disputes.
- Willingness to engage in continuous learning and apply knowledge across diverse tax issues.
- Proven experience in managing client relationships and delivering exceptional client service.
The Tax Associate Key Responsibilities
- Advise on a broad spectrum of transactions, including M&A, corporate restructuring, energy taxation, equity and debt capital markets, finance, real estate, projects, and private equity.
- Work closely with the firm's leading disputes practice on tax disputes and investigations.
- Take on client-facing roles, fostering and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Contribute to the development of junior team members and uphold the firm's values.
- Participate in marketing and industry events, and assist in preparing articles, precedents, and training materials.
