We cover all the recruitment needs of many of our clients - including office support and all technical roles - across the construction, property and engineering sectors in the UK and beyond.

Having started out by matching Quantity Surveyors with new opportunities in the construction and property sectors, we have gradually added specialisms including Project Management, Building Surveying, CDM/Principal Design, Health & Safety and Trades and Labour. Our fast-growing Freelance / Contract team completes our comprehensive offering.

Cliff Kemp launches Brandon James


Brandon James is launched with the intention of using over 2 decades of experience to create the ultimate professional and efficient recruitment consultancy.
Originally based in London and mainly serving the South East Quantity Surveying market, we set about building relationships to grow across the whole country and many more career sectors.

Hadley Segal joins Brandon James and launches our Property Division.

With a sharp business mind to match his sharp choice of attire, Hadley initially joins Brandon James to develop our Building Surveying team. He absolutely smashes it and is now the go-to Consultant for consultancies and candidates alike.
And, as if that was not enough, Hadley builds the Property Division to cover the whole of the UK, covering all professional roles within the sector.

​Brandon James moves to High Wycombe and continues to expand.

As the number of satisfied employers starts to pile up, demand for Brandon James to cover more job functions also increases. In particular, all areas of Project Management become a major offering.
In a key year for Brandon James, Daniel Foster joins the team to eventually lead on Quantity Surveying; Andrew Clarke is hired to run the ever-more-complex operations, and Tom Harrison leads on executive search (headhunting).

The Marlow office opens - right in the heart of the historic and beautiful town.

Allowing us yet more room to keep growing, and giving access to all the hospitality and retail delights of Marlow, this new office becomes the national focal point for Brandon James. We celebrate our 1,000th placement in style!
More key sectors are developed. Notably, Chris Austwick now heads up a team covering CDM / Principal Design and Health and Safety. The Freelance and Contract market (Trades and Labour) is also added, as we launch a division that will expand rapidly in record time...

​2020. What can you say?

In a sense we were lucky. ​Construction, property and engineering were not as hard-hit as the likes of the hospitality and retail trades, but it was still a time for hunkering down and getting through.
Our fantastic clients soldiered on and together we navigated our way through this highly challenging time, mindful that health and wellbeing were the real top priority for all of us.
