This pivotal role offers the chance to oversee a diverse portfolio of bespoke architectural and heritage projects across the capital, showcasing a commitment to excellence in design and historical appreciation.

The Senior Principal Designer role

The successful Senior Principal Designer will play a crucial role in steering the direction and success of high-profile projects.

You will provide comprehensive Principal Designer services, ensuring that each project's integrity aligns with both the practice's esteemed standards and client expectations.

Key responsibilities;

• Lead and manage multiple architectural and heritage projects, ensuring all design aspects meet the highest standards.
• Provide full scope Principal Designer services, including risk assessments, design reviews, and compliance with safety regulations.
• Collaborate effectively with diverse project teams, offering guidance and expertise in design safety and heritage preservation.
• Drive innovation in design while respecting historical and architectural significance.

The Senior Principal Designer

• Demonstrated experience in a similar role within an architectural or heritage-focused environment.
• A deep understanding of design processes and health and safety legislation, ideally supported by relevant qualifications (e.g., NEBOSH, APS).
• Strong leadership skills, with an ability to manage and inspire project teams.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of liaising effectively with clients and stakeholders.
• A passion for heritage and architectural design, with a portfolio that reflects this interest.
