A prestigious Construction Consultancy is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Construction Project Manager for their Manchester office.

This is an exceptional opportunity for a Senior Construction Project Manager looking to leverage their expertise in managing a diverse portfolio of complex projects, including residential, commercial, education, and science sectors.

The Senior Construction Project Manager Role

The successful Senior Construction Project Manager will take charge of overseeing projects that span a wide range of sectors, from biomedical campuses and university refurbishments to high-rise build-to-rent units and office reconstructions.

This role involves comprehensive project management tasks such as planning and design, budget management, procurement, site inspections, safety compliance, stakeholder coordination, issue resolution, and project tracking to ensure projects are completed successfully and on time.

Senior Construction Project Manager's Responsibilities

  • Overseeing the entire project lifecycle, ensuring all projects are delivered to the highest standards.
  • Managing project planning, design, budgeting, and procurement processes efficiently.
  • Conducting site inspections and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
  • Coordinating with stakeholders and resolving any issues that arise, ensuring smooth project progression.
  • Tracking project progress and adjusting as necessary to meet deadlines and budgets.

The Senior Construction Project Manager

  • Holds MRICS, CIOB, or APM certifications, or is actively working towards achieving one of these professional qualifications.
  • Possesses a degree in Project Management or a related field.
  • Comes from a consultancy background, with substantial experience in project management.
  • Has a strong track record in the science or commercial sectors, demonstrating the ability to manage complex construction projects at any RIBA stage.
  • Exhibits exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
