Senior Building Surveyor

A national leading construction consultancy is in search of a motivated and experienced Senior Building Surveyor to enhance their Leeds team.

Operating across the commercial, education, retail, and local authority markets, this position presents a unique opportunity to join a multi-disciplinary team of approximately 15 professionals, driving success and innovation within the industry.

The Senior Building Surveyor role

The successful Senior Building Surveyor will find themselves deeply involved in a wide array of projects, contributing their expertise to ensure exceptional delivery standards.

This role is perfect for an individual who thrives in a busy environment, offering support to the surveying team and engaging in a diverse range of projects that require detailed attention and a strategic approach.

Key responsibilities:

• Leading and managing surveying projects predominantly in the commercial, education, retail, and local authority sectors.
• Providing support to the surveying team, ensuring projects are completed to the highest standards.
• Undertaking large value projects independently, with a comprehensive understanding of professional consultancy services.
• Providing supervision and mentorship to APC candidates, fostering knowledge and understanding within the team.

The Senior Building Surveyor

• Proven experience as a Senior Building Surveyor, ideally with a focus on commercial, education, retail, and local authority markets.
• A 'can-do' attitude, with a willingness to engage in a variety of projects and demonstrate initiative.
• A strong desire for career progression, with aspirations to advance within the consultancy.
• Independent working capabilities, coupled with extensive sector experience and ideally some work-winning or development experience.
• A commitment to supporting and mentoring junior team members, promoting a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.
