An established and committed medium-sized property and construction consultancy in London is on the lookout for an experienced Principal Designer.

Specialising predominantly in the residential and care markets, this consultancy is known for its high standards and client-focused approach.

The Principal Designer role

The new Principal Designer will be a key member of the London team, bringing expertise and leadership to a variety of projects. This role provides an excellent opportunity to work in sectors that make a real difference in the community.

Responsibilities for the Principal Designer include:

• Overseeing the design aspects of residential and care projects, ensuring health and safety compliance in line with CDM 2015 regulations.
• Collaborating closely with clients and project teams to integrate health and safety considerations into all stages of design.
• Conducting thorough risk assessments and design reviews to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
• Providing expert health and safety advice and promoting a culture of safety awareness across projects.

The Principal Designer

• A solid background in Principal Design, particularly within the residential and care sectors.
• A deep understanding of CDM 2015 regulations and a commitment to upholding high health and safety standards.
• Relevant qualifications in health and safety, such as NEBOSH.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, crucial for effective teamwork and client relations.
• The ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and demonstrate strong problem-solving capabilities.
