A prestigious global consultancy is actively seeking a talented and dedicated Principal Designer to join their esteemed pre-construction team, stationed in Scotland. For this Principal Designer position, it is essential to have a strong understanding of pre-construction phase plans. A significant aspect of the role includes active involvement in two major retail projects in the region, involving collaboration with a globally recognized clothing brand.

The Principal Designer's Role

  • Developing and preparing pre-construction phase plans.
  • Conducting Construction Site Safety inspections.
  • Assisting duty holders in creating pre-construction information.
  • Employing Health & Safety and CDM expertise to ensure compliance with CDM regulations.

The Principal Designer

  • Must hold a NEBOSH General certificate or have Construction Health & Safety qualifications.
  • Requires a minimum of 2 years' experience in a CDM-related role, such as Principal Designer or CDM Advisor.
  • Should have thorough knowledge of the CDM Regulations 2015.
  • Must be enthusiastic, with a strong desire to learn and develop.
  • Should have a good understanding of the pre-construction phase.
