Principal Designer

A leading global consultancy is currently on the lookout for an enthusiastic and skilled Principal Designer to join their prestigious pre-construction team based in Scotland. This consultancy is well-known for its strong client relations and prominent standing in the industry, offering a Junior to Intermediate Principal Designer a remarkable opportunity to advance their career while gaining valuable experience across a variety of sites.

The ideal candidate for this Principal Designer role will have a solid grasp of pre-construction phase plans, with a focus on sectors such as Residential and Retail. A key responsibility for the Principal Designer will be their active participation in two major retail projects within the region, including collaborations with a globally renowned clothing brand.

The Principal Designers Role

• Prepare the pre-construction phase plan
• Undertake Construction Site Safety inspections
• Assist duty holders to develop pre-construction information
• Apply H&S and CDM knowledge to ensure CDM compliance is met

The Principal Designer

• NEBOSH General certificate or Construction H&S
• 2 years experience in a CDM role such as Principal Designer / CDM Advisor
• Knowledge of CDM Regulations 2015
• Enthusiastic with a willingness to learn and develop
• Understanding of the pre-construction phase
