An exciting opportunity is now available at a leading multi-disciplinary consultancy known for its dynamic and respected presence in the industry. They are actively seeking a highly capable Principal Designer with a focus on Construction Design Management, based in Newcastle.

The Principal Designer plays a crucial role, requiring a strong understanding of the pre-construction phase plan in sectors including Residential, Commercial, and Retail. The successful candidate will lead a relatively junior team, offering a superb opportunity for someone passionate about the construction industry to mentor and develop the skills of their team members. The Principal Designer's Responsibilities:
- Crafting the pre-construction phase plan.
- Conducting Construction Site Safety inspections.
- Assisting duty holders in developing pre-construction information.
- Utilising expertise in Health & Safety and CDM to ensure compliance with CDM regulations.
Principal Designer Requirements:
- NEBOSH General Certificate or Construction Health & Safety qualification.
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in a CDM role, such as Principal Designer or CDM Advisor.
- Proficient knowledge of CDM Regulations 2015.
- A keen and enthusiastic approach with a commitment to learning and professional development.
- A strong understanding of the pre-construction phase.
