Principal Designer

A dynamic and growing Health & Safety Consultancy, known for its commitment to excellence, is actively seeking an Associate Principal Designer to join their team. This small yet impactful company of 15 professionals is dedicated to enhancing Health & Safety compliance across various sectors including housing, healthcare, education, retail, and commercial. The consultancy is currently engaged in significant projects such as hospital refurbishments , with project values reaching up to £25 million.

The Associate Principal Designer's Role

The successful Associate Principal Designer will be instrumental in a team that prides itself on being hardworking yet sociable. With the role predominantly office-based, candidates should ideally be located within a 45-minute commute of the office, embracing the opportunity for occasional UK-wide travel including 1-2 days of overnight stays per month.

As the Associate Principal Designer, you will:

• Play a key role in delivering Health & Safety services for small to medium-sized companies.
• Be involved in a range of exciting projects across various sectors, ensuring high standards of Health & Safety compliance.
• Demonstrate excellent communication and report-writing skills, reflecting your academic background in the construction sector.

The Associate Principal Designer

We are looking for a candidate who embodies a blend of social engagement and rigorous work ethic. The ideal Associate Principal Designer should have:

• A NEBOSH certificate.
• Membership with APS (desirable).
• A construction-related degree.
• A couple of years of experience in a similar role, though we are open to considering those with more extensive experience.
• Strong report-writing skills and the ability to communicate effectively.

In Return?

• A competitive salary ranging from £38,000 to £45,000, with a potential maximum of £50,000.
• Additional car allowance of £3,000 plus 27p per mile for petrol.
• Payment of relevant professional memberships.
• Overnight stay expenses covered.
