Health & Safety Advisor

A Midlands based Property Consultancy are seeking a Health & Safety Advisor, to join their team.

Having been established for some time, this professional organisation are very well established in the industry and have a significant pipeline of work for 2022.

Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit a Health & Safety Advisor.

The successful Health & Safety Advisor will be joining an organisation founded on the principle of employing the very best people in the industry. All of whom have been responsible for the successful delivery of many high-profile projects in recent years.

About the role

The successful Health & Safety Advisor will act as the general point of contact across a number of Residential projects and be responsible for all elements of health, safety and quality.

You will work with employees to create an active and highly visible H&S culture across all businesses, regularly review and keep up to date with changes to government regulations and good practice and provide timely applications of such changes when reviewing and auditing Group systems and procedures.

You will regularly undertake Site Audits to assess compliance with statutory regulations. Identifying risks to the business and advise on how best to eliminate or mitigate risk.

You will also carry out Fire Risk Assessments on the same projects.

The Health & Safety Advisor will work closely with Directors, heads of departments and operational staff to help them meet H&S requirements.

The requirements

• A NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction Health and Safety (desired)
• Minimum of 1 year experience within a Health & Safety role within the Construction
• An excellent understanding of safety and industry requirements
• A positive attitiude with a continual improvement mind-set with a track record of business and safety development
• Experience and Qualifications with Fire Risk Assessments
