The Fire Consultant Role

The successful Fire Consultant will be responsible for developing comprehensive fire strategies, supporting clients in establishing fire safety management systems, and reviewing compliance with the new building safety management bill. Your role will involve delivering exceptional fire safety services, carrying out Fire Risk Assessments, and preparing Fire Management Plans. You will work closely with clients and internal teams to ensure high standards and compliance with fire safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop fire strategies from conception to completion, including fire safety inspections.
• Support clients in developing fire safety management systems to British Standards.
• Review and implement requirements under the new building safety management bill.
• Deliver fire safety services across various sectors including housing, construction, retail, and private healthcare.
• Carry out Fire Risk Assessments and prepare Fire Management Plans.
• Stay updated with industry standards and legislative changes.
• Act as a resource and liaise with managers and staff regarding fire safety standards and initiatives.

Requirements:

• Member of the Institution of Fire Engineers (MIFireE).
• Relevant degree in fire safety or fire engineering.
• Proven experience in creating fire strategy solutions and designing fire management plans.
• Strong understanding of fire safety regulations and compliance.
