A small, close-knit Maintenance & Facilities Management company is seeking an experienced Document Controller to enhance their St Albans office.

The Document Controller's Role

The successful Document Controller will join a dynamic, yet family-oriented team, managing an array of documents for Rail, Health, Education, and Local Authority project sectors. Ideally, the Document Controller will come from a facilities management background and be proficient in using AssetPro and Microsoft Office packages. The incoming Document Controller will maintain the accuracy of records for the depot's contract and support the contract reporting process.

You will be communicating and collaborating with helpdesk operators, operatives, and sub-contractors.

Further responsibilities include:

  • File documents in physical and digital records and ensure appropriate storage.
  • Review and maintain the accuracy of the records, editing where necessary to ensure they are up-to-date.
  • Identify remedial work arising from routine maintenance activities.
  • Manage the processes around documentation within the organisation.
  • Maintain confidentiality around sensitive documentation.
  • Assist in the preparation of the monthly contract report and ad-hoc reports.
  • Manage requests for documentation.
  • Train employees on how to use and access the documents.
  • Follow company processes and procedures.
  • Meet all KPIs measured on a periodic basis.

The Document Controller

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in document control.
  • Proficiency in using AssetPro.
  • Experience in facilities management.
  • A good understanding of depot assets.
  • Proficiency in MS Office packages.

  • £30,000 - £32,000 per annum
