Director of Building Surveying

A foremost Property Consultancy is in search of a Director of Building Surveying to enhance their comprehensive team in the heart of London.

The Director of Building Surveyor's role

This position provides exposure to a wide array of projects spanning the commercial, educational, hospitality, retail, and industrial sectors.

In the capacity of Director of Building Surveying, you will lead the charge in both professional services and project engagements, directing key initiatives in areas such as dilapidations for landlords and tenants, acquisition surveys, due diligence, party wall matters, and insurance reinstatement valuations.

• Direct and expand the Building Surveying team, spearheading business growth, forecasting, and ensuring service delivery adheres to the consultancy's esteemed standards.
• Oversee a varied project portfolio, offering specialized advice and solutions in dilapidations, acquisition surveys, party wall issues, among others.
• Interact with a diverse clientele across numerous sectors, providing customized surveying services to meet their distinct requirements.
• Play a crucial role in team development, nurturing a culture of excellence and mentorship within the team.

The successful Director of Building Surveying will have?

• MRICS qualified.
• Previous line management and business development experience.
• Significant experience in Building Surveying within a consultancy environment, preferably with a multidisciplinary firm.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a team, with a track record of generating new business and delivering projects successfully.
• Strong technical knowledge across a variety of surveying services, including dilapidations, acquisition surveys, party wall matters, and insurance reinstatement valuations.
• Excellent communication and client management skills, with the ability to maintain and grow client relationships.
