The Construction Project Manager Role

The successful Construction Project Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless delivery of retail projects from inception through to completion.

Responsibilities include:

• Efficiently carrying out assigned duties in line with processes and procedures.
• Complying with procurement, commercial, and contractual strategies.
• Taking personal accountability for Environmental, Health, Safety, Security, and Quality Standards.
• Management and preparation of key stage reports, from feasibility to post-handover.
• Ensuring delivery of value for money in all circumstances.
• Preparation and management of various programmes and meetings.
• Running bidding processes and managing queries from tendering contractors.
• Managing multiple projects on 'LIVE' operational sites and assisting with contract documents.

The Construction Project Manager

The ideal Construction Project Manager will demonstrate a positive and proactive approach, delivering customer service excellence and achieving good commercial results. Essential qualifications and experience include:

• A Construction Project Management degree or similar construction-related qualification.
• Extensive technical delivery experience, ideally within the retail sector.
• Consultancy experience and good construction and M&E knowledge.
• Familiarity with the design process and RIBA stages.
• Well-organised, diligent, proactive, disciplined, and commercially astute.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
• A track record of managing projects effectively, prioritizing workloads, and delivering to deadlines.
