This Consultancy, renowned for its commitment to quality and sustainability in the built environment, is undergoing an exciting phase of growth. They are keen to onboard a Construction Project Manager with a vision to influence the future of the industry.

The Construction Project Manager Role

The role of the Construction Project Manager is pivotal within this vibrant team. You will be at the forefront of managing projects with a diverse client base, including blue-chip companies, high-profile sporting teams, automotive OEMs, innovative R&D organisations, and top academic research institutes.

Key Responsibilities of the Construction Project Manager:

  • Take a lead in defining and managing clients' briefs, including coordination responsibilities among consultants and specialists.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication channels and reporting procedures.
  • Conduct thorough feasibility studies, site surveys, and evaluations.
  • Manage financial aspects of projects, including cash flow forecasts and budget oversight.
  • Administer contracts (JCT, NEC) and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with CDM regulations and manage overall project logistics and resources.
  • Lead and coordinate project teams, ensuring strict adherence to specifications and project timelines.

The Construction Project Manager

  • Proven experience in project management, ideally within a construction consultancy setting.
  • Pursuit of or willingness to attain professional chartership (RICS, CIOB, RIBA, MICE).
  • Exceptional communication abilities and proficiency in tools like Microsoft Excel and Project.
  • Demonstrated success in leading and delivering complex projects.
  • Robust client management skills and capability in preparing successful tender submissions.
  • An outgoing, proactive approach, and a strong inclination towards teamwork.
