A proactive and reliable clerk of works required to assist a forward thinking construction consultancy on various residential projects within an hour and a half of their Birmingham office.
The Clerk of Works
This role will suit a Clerk of Works with strong residential experience, projects include New Build Homes, Student Accommodation, Affordable Housing, Tower blocks and flats.
The clerk of works will liaise with the Employers Agent or Project Manager, this role is flexible meaning you can choose to do reports from the office or from home.
Reports can be done via paper or software, whichever is preferred by the Clerk of Works.
Ideally you will have:
ICWCI, or related relevant accreditation such as CIOB, CABE or RICS
You will need to demonstrate the following skills:
- Quality Assurance
- Liaising with subcontractors and contractors on site
- The ability to read technical drawings and interpret contract programmes.
- A good knowledge of site health and safety procedures.
- Sound experience of technical building design and Building Regulations both in terms of new build and refurbishment / fit out.
- Strong communication skills including project reporting.
- Someone who has the ability to work on a number of projects at any one time and manage their time accordingly
