The Chartered Fire Engineer's Role

This role places the Chartered Fire Engineer in a crucial position, working in close partnership with the Head of Fire Engineering. It entails a dynamic range of responsibilities, including leadership, mentoring junior engineers, and effective team management. The successful candidate will exhibit a comprehensive grasp of the latest fire compliance regulations and adaptability to the fast-evolving industry standards, ensuring the consultancy remains a frontrunner in fire safety engineering.

The Chartered Fire Engineer Will:

  • Have a minimum of 4 years of proven experience in Fire Engineering, marked by significant contributions and expertise.
  • Be a Chartered Engineer in fire or actively working towards it, showcasing a commitment to professional excellence and development.
  • Possess a strong educational background in Fire Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field, critical for developing robust technical and analytical abilities.
  • Demonstrate effective leadership and team management skills, evidencing the capacity to inspire, lead, and develop the consultancy's talent.
  • Be proficient in FREAW's (Pas 9980), with a solid track record in leading client-facing engagements and projects, illustrating outstanding communication and project management prowess.
  • Have extensive experience across the Residential, Healthcare, and Commercial sectors, providing a deep understanding of these key areas and the ability to navigate their specific challenges and opportunities.
  • Display an entrepreneurial spirit, with involvement in business development, strategic relationship building, and a proactive approach to promoting growth and innovation within the consultancy.
