The Role of the Chartered Building Surveyor

The successful Chartered Building Surveyor will find themselves immersed in a wide range of stimulating tasks and responsibilities. They will be delivering the full spectrum of Building Surveying services, showcasing their expertise in areas such as project management, dilapidations, building pathology, and contract administration. The role promises diversity, challenging the Chartered Building Surveyor to apply their skills across various project types and sectors.

  • Conducting detailed building surveys and preparing reports.
  • Managing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Providing expert advice on building regulations, compliance, and best practices.
  • Leading and participating in both minor and major works, from conception through to completion.

The Chartered Building Surveyor's Profile

The ideal candidate for this position should be someone who not only holds the title of Chartered Building Surveyor but also brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the table. They should be adept at handling a diverse range of tasks, demonstrating proficiency in both technical and project management aspects of Building Surveying.

  • Chartered status with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
  • Proven experience in providing a comprehensive range of Building Surveying services.
  • Strong project management skills with a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Excellent communication and client-facing abilities.
  • A proactive approach to work, capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
