Building Surveyor

A Property Consultancy, renowned for its innovative approach and commitment to environmentally responsible projects, is seeking an experienced Building Surveyor to join their Oxford office.

This is a unique opportunity for a Building Surveyor with a passion for sustainable development and a strong background in construction and building surveying.

The Building Surveyor's role

The Building Surveyor will be part of a team that also engages in flood defence and conservation projects for heritage properties within the Oxford educational sector.

• Leading design and construction projects within the utility sector.
• Providing expert Building Surveying services across commercial, educational, and industrial sectors.
• Conducting dilapidations, party wall, due diligence surveys, building pathology, and condition surveys.
• Performing measured surveys, reinstatement cost assessments, and construction monitoring.
• Fulfilling the principal designer role and managing construction or fit-out projects.

This position requires a solid foundation in construction knowledge, specifically relating to civils and buildings, and the ability to manage all stakeholders effectively for project design and delivery.

The successful Building Surveyor will have?

• MRICS accreditation ideally
• BSc/ MSc in Building Surveying or a RICS accredited degree
• 2+ years of consultancy experience ideally
• Effective communication, both written and verbal
• Client-facing demeanour with commericial awareness
• Full clean driving license
