A Design and Build specialist contractor are seeking a SHEQ Advisor, to join their team near Covent Garden.

Having been established for over 50 years, this professional organisation are very well established in the industry and have a significant pipeline of work for 2022.

Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an SHEQ Advisor.

The successful SHEQ Advisor will be joining an organisation founded on the principle of employing the very best people in the industry. All of whom have been responsible for the successful delivery of many high-profile projects in recent years.

About the role

The successful SHEQ Advisor will be working on a number of construction projects, mainly I Residential, Office, Hotels and Student Accommodation and will act as the competent person and the general point of contact across the Group responsible for all elements of health, safety, quality and environmental.

As the SHEQ Advisor you will regularly undertake Site Audits to assess compliance with statutory regulations. Identifying risks to the business and advise on how best to mitigate the risk.

To work closely with Directors, heads of departments and operational staff to help them meet SHEQ requirements.

The requirements

• A NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction Health and Safety (desired)
• IOSH status, actively developing towards CMIOSH status
• Minimum of 2 years' experience within a Health & Safety role within the Construction Industry
• Experience in all practical aspects of Health & Safety including maintaining policies, assessing risks, training, audits & inspection, dealing with incidents and reporting
• An excellent understanding of safety and industry requirements
• A positive safety leader with a continual improvement mind-set with a track record of business and safety development
• Knowledge of the relevant regulatory framework within the construction industry
