A leading specialist architectural firm is looking for an experienced and motivated Principal Designer to join their dynamic team in Birmingham. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Principal Designer to take the next step in their career, working across a variety of exciting projects within a well-established and respected company.
The Principal Designer Role
As the successful Principal Designer, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with CDM regulations across a wide range of projects, from conception through to completion. You will work closely with clients, architects, and contractors to provide expert advice on health and safety matters, ensuring design risk management is integrated into every stage of the project.
You will be working on a variety of project types, including commercial, residential, and public sector developments. This role offers a unique chance to work in a collaborative environment where your contributions will have a direct impact on project success.
The Principal Designer
- Strong background in construction or design
- Significant experience in delivering Principal Designer services under CDM 2015 regulations
- NEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalent qualification
- Experience working in an architectural or consultancy environment
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- APS membership or working towards IOSH accreditation would be advantageous
