Maintenance Surveyor

Due to demand a reginal office of the Church of England based in Hove is now looking for a Maintenance Surveyor to be responsible for the day-to-day management and maintenance of the properties in the Chichester region.

As the successful Maintenance Surveyor, you will become part of a team that serves those in more than 360 parishes and more than 150 Church schools and the community.

The role

You will be assisting the Senior Maintenance Surveyor in managing repairs, and improvement / replacement contracts.

As well as taking responsibility for the five yearly periodic electrical testing regime and supervise the management of the mechanical and electrical contracts.

The Maintenance Surveyor will need to create solutions to vacant property issues and have the communication skills to consult and liaise with and support the clergy in their work through the imaginative use of property.

The Maintenance Surveyor

The maintenance surveyor will preferably have;

• Relevant qualifications
• Previous experience in a housing association or similar
• Have dealt with property administration
• Technical knowledge of buildings
• IT proficient
• Support the ethos, aims and objectives of the Charity
